諏訪神社

諏訪神社 is a Shinto shrine located in Niigata Prefecture, dedicated to the kami of Mt. Iwanuma and the nearby river. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical significance as a major stop on the ancient route connecting Echigo Province to Kanto Region. Built during the Kamakura period (1185-1333), the shrine features traditional Japanese-style buildings, including a grand torii gate. Visitors can experience the tranquil atmosphere of the shrine grounds, which include walking paths and scenic views of Mt. Iwanuma.

Visitor tip
