Tailo Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Tatsuno, Hyogo Prefecture. The shrine was built to honor the legendary hero Minamoto no Yoshitsune and his companion Benkei. According to myth, Benkei took his own life at the shrine after learning of Yoshitsune's betrayal by his brother Yoritomo. Today, visitors can see a statue of Benkei holding a sword in the courtyard, symbolizing his loyalty to Yoshitsune.

Visitor tip
