Resha-ji Shrine, located in Osaka Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of good luck, prosperity, and maritime safety. The shrine is situated on a hill overlooking the city and is known for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. Resha-ji was established during the Edo period (1603-1868) as a sacred site to ensure safe passage for ships and fishermen in the busy Osaka Port.

Cultural notes
Resha-ji is famous for its unique lanterns, known as 'hakone-zukuri', which are designed to resemble the shape of Fujin's sword. The shrine also hosts an annual Festival of Lanterns (, Kakurei-matsuri) in May to celebrate the god of prosperity.
Historical note
The shrine was originally dedicated to the god of the sea, but it is now believed to be enshrined to the god of prosperity, Fujin.
