Cultural notes

Inari Okami is also revered as the god of prosperity and good fortune. During the annual autumn festival (Koyo), devotees gather to pray for a bountiful harvest and offer rice balls, known as 'osusume,' which are believed to bring good luck and prosperity.

Historical note

Akibayashi Shrine was originally built during the Nara period (710-794 CE) and its current form dates back to the Kamakura period (1185-1333 CE).
