Annoyingan-in-Shinmei-jinja, located in Ibaraki Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Shinmei, the god of the sea and fishing. The shrine's main hall, known as the hondo, was built in the late Heian period (c. 1000 CE) and features a unique hipped roof with two levels of tile roofing. Visitors can explore the shrine's gardens, which include a beautiful pond and walking paths. In addition to offering prayers for safe fishing and successful sea travel, devotees also bring gifts of lanterns and offerings to the shrine.
