Located in the picturesque city of Fujieda, Shizuuoka Prefecture, Ifukuji Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god of mercy, Fujine Okami. As the shrine of Princess Shirakami from the legend of Ifukuji Castle, It was originally constructed during the Heian period (794-1185) as a temple and later converted to a Shinto shrine in 1869.
