The Godai Shrine, also known as the Shinmei Shrine, is a Shinto shrine located in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is dedicated to the deity of prosperity and abundance, known as Tamashii-Kami or simply 'Spirit Kami'. The shrine was originally built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE) and has been restored several times over the centuries. Its main hall features a unique design with a thatched roof and a large wooden gate.
