Located in Akita Prefecture, Sanbutsu-shinsha is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the three gods of the mountains: Sooto no Kami (Mt. Okiraze), Kojiki's Ōkami (the sacred deer), and Gintoku (a type of Japanese iron), but primarily worshipped as Ōtsukimi-hime, the goddess of autumn harvest. The shrine is famous for its autumnal festivals and historic architecture, reflecting the Heian period.
