Dayaji Shrine, located in the city of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, is one of Japan's oldest Shinto shrines, dating back to the Nara period (710-794 CE). The shrine enshrines Daya no Kami, a kami believed to bring good luck and protection. The shrine's architecture reflects traditional Japanese design, with a large torii gate and a sacred square surrounded by vermilion columns.

The shrine was re-established in 1869 after being destroyed during the Boshin War.
