Located in the city of Yamagata, Eight Horseshoe Shrine is dedicated to the deity Susanoo-no-Mikoto and his sister, the wind god Amaterasu. The shrine is famous for its distinctive eight-horseshoe-shaped roof, which is said to represent the mythical sword Kusanagi. Visitors can purchase sacred rice, known as 'gohan,' at the shrine's entrance to ensure good luck on their journey.
