Cultural notes
Kasugai Shrine is famous for its annual Kasuga Matsuri festival, which takes place on July 25th and features traditional dances, music, and offerings to the god Kasuga. The shrine is also closely associated with the myth of the 'Moon Goddess,' who is said to have wept tears that formed the nearby Lake Biwa.
