Kurahoda Shrine is dedicated to the kami of the same name, revered as a patron of prosperity and good fortune in the city of Osaka. Located on a scenic hill overlooking the harbor, the shrine was built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE). The site is said to be the location where the founding deity appeared to the local lord.
