於佐加神社 is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Itoigawa, Nagano Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to Okuninushi, a kami associated with agriculture and fertility. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical connection to the Edo period, with a traditional torii gate and a hondo (main hall) featuring a tiled roof.

Cultural notes

Okuninushi is also associated with the legend of the ' Eighty-Nine Heroes', who were believed to have been sent from heaven to defeat the forces of darkness. The shrine celebrates this legend annually during the summer festival, known as 'Okuninushi Matsuri'.

The shrine was established during the Edo period in 1600, and has been rebuilt several times due to natural disasters and wars.
