Cultural notes
Tsukubamiya Shinyamahara no Mikage Jinja is also famous for its annual Hachiman Matsuri festival, which takes place in November. During this time, visitors can participate in traditional dances and music performances, as well as enjoy local food and drinks.
Historical note
The shrine was built in 1635 during the Edo period, making it one of the oldest shrines in Sendai.
