Fushimi Inari Taisha is one of the most famous Shinto shrines in Japan, known for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that form a tunnel up the mountain. The shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god Inari Okami, patron deity of rice, industry, and fertility. Located near Kyoto, it has connections to the Heian period but was re-established at its current site in Chiba in 1926.
