玉倉稲荷大明神

Chiba

Located in the scenic town of Togawa, Chiba Prefecture, the Kamiyarumae Inari Shrine is a revered Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of rice and fertility, Inari Okami. The shrine's name 'Tsuruga-rakurayama' roughly translates to 'The Hill with a Pearl', which may refer to its original name when the pearl-inlaid treasure chest on the hill was discovered in 1864. According to local legend, this chest contained a large pearl that glowed brightly during times of famine and drought, signaling an abundant harvest. The shrine's beautiful architecture is adorned with torii gates, lanterns, and vermilion-colored roofs, creating a stunning landscape. Visitors can explore the serene gardens, participate in traditional rituals, and try local specialties such as wagashi sweets.
