Akiba Shrine, located in the town of Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, is dedicated to the Shinto god of autumn leaves and fertility, Mikasa no Okami, as well as the god of agriculture and prosperity, Inazuma Tenzan. The shrine's architecture reflects its origins as a small village shrine, with a simple torii gate and a rectangular hall dedicated to Mikasa no Okami. Over time, the shrine has expanded to include additional buildings and shrines, including one dedicated to Inazuma Tenzan. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage at Akiba Shrine during the fall season.

Cultural notes
Akiba Shrine is famous for its 'tanabata no oki' festival, which celebrates the traditional Japanese star-crossed lovers' day on July 7th. During this time, visitors can write wishes on tanzaku papers and tie them to a large tree in front of the shrine.
