Located in the heart of Yokohama City, Ifukai Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god Raijin, also known as Raito or Raikoinu, the kami of lightning. The shrine's main hall was built during the Meiji period and features a unique wooden gate that has been preserved from the original construction in 1886. Visitors can see traditional Japanese crafts on display at the shrine's museum, which offers insight into local artisans' skills. Raijin is often invoked for protection against fire, lightning, and other natural disasters.
