The Ōfu Shrine, also known as the Tenmoku Grand Shrine, is a Shinto shrine located in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu, it is one of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan and has been the site of imperial worship since the Nara period (710-794 CE).
