新宮神社

Tottori

Visitor tip

Cultural notes

The New Miyajima Shrine is famous for its annual 'Setsubun' festival, where participants throw soybeans at the shrine gates to purify themselves. Locals also visit the shrine to pray for safe navigation and a good catch.
