高室神社

High Room Shrine, a historic Shinto shrine in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, has been worshipped by locals since its establishment during the Heian period (794-1185). The shrine is known for its unique architecture and scenic surroundings, which mirror the majesty of Mt. Fuji.

Cultural notes

Historical note

High Room Shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed during the Genpei War in 1180.
