Located in the city of Tottori, Kita-Sakihata Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of agriculture and fertility, Sakahama-Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects the typical Heian-period style, with a main hall (honden) and several smaller shrines (torii). Cultural notes

The shrine is famous for its association with the mythical god Sakahama-Okami, said to have been instrumental in bringing rice cultivation to the area. During the spring equinox festival (Shunbun no Hi), the shrine's main torii is adorned with beautiful lanterns and decorated with sacred vermilion paint.
