Cultural notes

Odawara-jinja Shrine is closely associated with the legend of Minamoto no Yoritomo, who was said to have been born at the shrine. The shrine also hosts an annual Odawara Spring Festival (, Odawara Haru Matsuri) in April, which features traditional music, dance, and food stalls.

Historical note

The shrine was rebuilt in 1333 after being destroyed during the Nanboku-chō period.
