Visitor tip
Visit the shrine's adjacent park to see a beautiful cherry blossom tree that is said to be over 200 years old and bloom every spring.
Cultural notes
This shrine is famous for its annual 'Saien' festival, which takes place in February and features traditional dances and offerings to the kami. The shrine is also known for its unique 'hagoromo' (bird's nest) torii gate, which is said to resemble a bird's nest.

The Twenty-Second Shrine was rebuilt after being damaged in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake.
