High-ranking deity worshipped by the Imperial Family in ancient times, revered as a protector of the emperor and the nation's stability. The shrine is dedicated to the worship of the Shindo-karatsu-no-okami, an ancestral kami, and the patron kami of the city of Nagasaki.
