Located in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Ifu-ji Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto deity Inari Okami. The shrine is famous for its vermilion torii gate and its role as a major Shinto shrine on Mount Fuji's northeastern slope. Visitors can pray at the shrine's honden, which houses the sacred mirror of Emperor Shomu, who donated it to the shrine in 752 AD.

Visitor tip
