Water Spirit Shrine, dedicated to the kami of water and agriculture, is located in Akita Prefecture's Densen city. The shrine is famous for its stunning garden featuring a beautiful pond with various water lilies. According to local legend, the shrine was founded during the Nara period (710-794 CE) by the local lord who wanted to honor the kami of fertility and prosperity.
