Located in the town of Sano, Gunma Prefecture, 松井田八幡宮 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Susanoo-no-Mikoto, one of the most powerful kami in Japanese mythology. The shrine is situated at the foot of Mt. Hakushin and is famous for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. The current main hall was built in 1683, although the shrine's history dates back to the Edo period.
