Cultural notes

As one of the three most famous shrines in Shikoku, the Five-Storehouse Shrine is revered for its association with the legendary treasure hunter, Ishizaki Sanekichi, who discovered a hidden treasure within the shrine's grounds. Locals often visit during the annual Star Festival (Tanabata) to pray for good fortune and prosperity.
