Cultural notes

Ōdai Inari is one of many shrines dedicated to the kami of rice and prosperity. The shrine's traditional architecture features a distinctive octagonal tiled roof, which is said to resemble a rice granary. During the autumn harvest festival, visitors often leave offerings of sweet rice cakes for Ōdai Inari.
