Located in the heart of Gunma Prefecture, Hito no Kokoro Jinja is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami Enmei Okami, revered as the god of prosperity and longevity. Cultural notes
Enmei Okami is also associated with the mythological phoenix, said to have been born from a tree in this very shrine. The shrine celebrates the 'Fudo Myo' festival in May, where participants wear symbolic vermilion robes to purify and protect themselves.
