瓊々杵神社

Ishikawa

Located in the city of Kanazawa, in the Ishikawa prefecture, 瓊々杵神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Hachiman, patron deity of the Minamoto clan and protector of travelers. The shrine's main hall was originally built during the Muromachi period (1336-1573) and rebuilt in the Edo period (1603-1867). Its unique architectural style blends elements of traditional Japanese and Chinese designs.
