Located in the city of Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture,野本八幡神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto, one of the most important kami in Japanese mythology. The shrine's name suggests its association with the 'founding' of Takasaki, and it is said to have been established during the Nara period (710-794 CE).
