Cultural notes
The shrine is famous for its traditional festivals, including the 'Furui-juku' festival, which takes place every November 15th and 16th. The shrine is also known for its unique architectural features, such as its distinctive 'tatsu' (stone bridge) and its beautiful 'fusen-bashi' (bridge of blessings).
Historical note
The shrine was established in 727 AD by Prince Karu no Hosono, a legendary prince from the Yamato period.
