Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Truezukushi Shrine is closely associated with the legend of the earth goddess, who was said to have created the surrounding mountains. The shrine's annual spring festival, known as Matsuri, features traditional dance performances and food stalls offering local specialties such as sweet rice cakes and pickled plum.
Historical note
The shrine was rebuilt in 1871 after being destroyed during the Boshin War.
