Cultural notes
Fudo Myoo is also associated with the legend of a great flood in Ishikawa Prefecture, said to have occurred during his lifetime. As a result, visitors can experience the unique 'flood' festival held annually in June, where participants dress up as Fudo Myoo and reenact the mythological event.
