Located in the city of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Eight Horses Temple (Hachi no Shirine) is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Susanoo-no-Mikoto and the god of storms and fishing. The shrine is famous for its unique architecture and beautiful gardens, featuring a large stone statue of Susanoo with eight horses drawn by him. Visitors can experience traditional Japanese culture through various festivals and events throughout the year, including the annual Matsuri festival in May.

Cultural notes
Eight Horses Temple is also famous for its historical connection to the famous Japanese poet and painter, Hokusai. The temple is said to have inspired Hokusai's famous woodblock print, 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa'.
