Taarō Saigan Shrine, located in the heart of Fukuoka, is a revered Shinto site dedicated to the god Taarō Saigan, who is believed to have protected the city from invaders during the Genpei War. As one of the oldest shrines in Kyushu, it showcases traditional Heian-period architecture and beautiful gardens.

Visitor tip
To respect the shrine's tranquil atmosphere, visitors are encouraged to bow upon entering and refrain from taking flash photography.
