Shimane

East Honshu Shrine, a Shinto shrine located in the town of Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture, is dedicated to Okuninushi Ō-no-Mikoto, one of the seven gods of the harvest and fertility. The shrine is nestled at the foot of Mt. Izu, overlooking the scenic Iwami Plain. Founded during the Heian period, East Honshu Shrine has been rebuilt multiple times due to its vulnerability to earthquakes and floods, with the current structure dating back to the Edo period.
