Addo Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the Kii Mountains of Wakayama Prefecture, but was originally built as a branch shrine of this one in Tokushima Prefecture. The current main hall and shrine structures were rebuilt in 1959 after being damaged by earthquake, following original construction in the Nara period (794-1185). The enshrined deities include Takamagaharino okami, Addo no kami and Yamato-no-Ōe-kimi, the three primary deities. While not as well-known as other branches of Addo Shrine, it is still highly regarded for its natural beauty and traditional architecture.
