六天王

Located in the city of Odawara, Rokutenno Shrine is dedicated to the six heavenly kings of Buddhism, but also enshrines various Shinto deities, including the god of wealth and prosperity, and the god of education and scholarship. The shrine's architecture reflects a mix of traditional Japanese and Buddhist styles. Visitors can explore the shrine grounds, which feature several buildings and gardens, as well as participate in festivals and ceremonies throughout the year.

Cultural notes

Rokutenno Shrine is associated with the Buddhist festival of Higan, which is celebrated twice a year. The shrine also hosts an annual Shinto New Year (Oshogatsu) ceremony in late January.
