Okanomiyasengen Shrine, located in the prefecture of Kanagawa, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of Mount Iwato. The shrine's name 'Okano' refers to a local village that was destroyed by fire and rebuilt on the site where the shrine stands today. The shrine's primary deity is Okan no Kami, who is believed to have protected the village from fires. Visitors can see the distinctive stone pavement leading up to the shrine, as well as a replica of a traditional Japanese sword exhibit. The shrine's torii gate is also adorned with colorful paper lanterns during special festivals.

Visitor tip
