Nakano hashi kuroki hachidai ryūjin'

Located in Otaru, Hokkaido, Nakano Hashi Kuroki Hachidai Ryōjin' Shrine is dedicated to the Eight Great Dragons of the Sea, a group of deities believed to protect fishermen and bring good fortune. The shrine's name, inspired by the famous Nakano Bridge in Tokyo, reflects its location on a bridge over the scenic Otaru Canal. Built in 1971, the shrine showcases traditional Japanese architecture with a modern twist.

Cultural notes
