Kehi Shrine, located in the Hikone city of Shiga Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Kamo no Mabuchi, one of the eight powerful deities of the Ise-Shiteno-mae, and also enshrines Inari Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical connection to the Edo period, with its traditional wooden buildings and ornate gateways. Cultural notes

Kehi Shrine is associated with the Shinto festival of Maboroshi-no- Matsuri, which is celebrated on July 31st to ward off evil spirits. The shrine also features a unique torii gate made from black cedar wood, a rare and valuable material during the Edo period.

Founded in 1602 as a branch shrine of Hikone Castle, Kehi Shrine has served as a significant location for rituals and ceremonies related to the castle's history.
