Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Kanazakura Shrine is famous for its beautiful sakura (cherry blossom) trees, which are said to be a favorite of the goddess of fertility. The shrine also hosts an annual Cherry Blossom Festival in March, where visitors can enjoy traditional food and drinks, as well as folk performances.
Historical note
The shrine was founded in the Edo period (1603-1868) during the reign of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
