Suwa Jinja is a Shinto shrine located in Hiyama-cho, Aobai-machi, Sakuragaoka-cho, Mikage-cho, Kita-Kuroda, Shibata-machi, Kitahirose, Shiramine, and Hiyama-dori 1-chome of Kitakami-ku in Sendai. The shrine is dedicated to the god Suwa-no-kamayaki, a kami associated with blacksmiths and metalworkers. Visitors can see the remains of the old shrine building, which dates back to the Edo period, and take part in the annual Spring Festival to celebrate the arrival of spring.
