Located in the city of Ogawa, Miyagi Prefecture, Gold Snake Water Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the kami of water and gold. The shrine's name, 'Kanadezu Suinoshita,' roughly translates to 'Golden Serpent of Kanadezu' in English. According to local legend, the shrine was established by the god of the Golden Serpent who was said to have appeared at the confluence of the Ouchi River and the Kanadezu River.
