春日神社

Located in the city of Kusatsu, Gunma Prefecture, is the famous hot spring temple, but 春日神社 (Spring Palace Shrine) located in Shiga Prefecture, was originally a Shugendo sect temple dedicated to Enmei-oki no kami. After the Unification of Japan in the 16th century, it was rebuilt and re-dedicated to the deity of spring water, Enmei. The shrine is famous for its beautiful gardens and tranquil atmosphere, making it a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists alike.
