Saitama

Located in the heart of Tokyo, Senso-ji Temple is one of Japan's most famous and revered Buddhist shrines. Dedicated to the Buddhist deity Amida Buddha, Senso-ji is also a major center of Shinto worship. The temple complex features several beautiful gardens, including the iconic Nakamise shopping street, which is filled with traditional snacks and souvenirs.

文化的背景

歴史

The original temple was built in 628 AD by Emperor Sendai's sister, Princess Saeki.
