Located in the city of Hikone, Kyoto Prefecture, but originally from the Yamashiro Province, which is now part of Shiga Prefecture, is the Takaokami Shrine, also known as Okazaki-ji. It is dedicated to the god of ironworking and industry, Inari Okami, and is famous for its large shrine building, which was constructed in 1616. The shrine is particularly well-known for its large wooden gates, called torii, that were donated by the Tokugawa shogunate during this period.
